German Trade Mission to
Key Shipyards
Eltorque representatives Terje Lillemo and Kenneth Fjerstad recently participated in a Norwegian trade mission to Germany, organised by Innovation Norway, focusing on the cruise and ferry segments.
Germany remains one of the most important maritime markets in Europe, with a strong shipbuilding tradition and globally leading companies within cruise, ferry, and container shipping. The trade mission provided a valuable platform for strengthening relationships, exchanging knowledge, and exploring future collaboration opportunities across the maritime value chain.
Over three days, the delegation visited several key stakeholders in the German maritime cluster, including shipyards, shipowners, and design companies. The program included a visit to Meyer Werft, one of the world’s leading builders of cruise vessels, known for its advanced production facilities and innovative ship designs.
Participation in initiatives such as this trade mission supports Eltorque’s efforts to stay closely connected to key markets and industry developments, while reinforcing its position as a supplier of electric actuator systems for modern, sustainable vessels.
Eltorque looks forward to building on the insights and connections gained during the visit.
