Eltorque offers specialized versions of the QT actuators for use in EX classified zones. These actuators are technically similar to the standard maritime version but are upgraded with key features to secure durability in hazardous areas.
The basic principle employed is that the actuator will not cause an explosion in the surrounding atmosphere.
The actuators are suitable for an operating torque range of 0-1000 Nm and are offered in our QT range, from QT70 to QT1000.
EX Actuators
The EXD actuators are designed for the harshest and most hazardous environments. A flameproof enclosure ensures safe and reliable operation. The EXD actuators deliver robust performance and uncompromising safety in Zone 1 and Zone 2 classified areas.
The actuators are suitable for an operating torque range of 0-2500 Nm and are offered in the QT250, QT800, and QT2500 series.
