Eltorque develops, manufactures, and markets electric actuators and control systems for the international shipbuilding and onshore industries.
The company’s headquarter is located in Trondheim, Norway. Additionally, we are present with sales representatives and production facilities abroad, including our manufacturer in China. Our ambition is to be wherever the customers are, and our employees dedicate themselves to making Eltorque the preferred electric valve control solutions partner.

 

Our goal is to provide the cleanest and most intelligent valve control solution on the market, with components that last the vessel’s lifetime. And together, we have developed several innovative products that have gained a good foothold in the maritime market. As a result, over 120,000 of our electric actuators have been installed on board over 1,000 ships worldwide.

Our current Chief Technology Officer (CTO) has started a new chapter within our organization, and therefore we are looking for a new CTO to take our R&D department into the future. The department is growing to keep pace with the rapid development of future electric actuators and control systems. Our valve control systems are well established in the maritime sector, and we are now moving into new markets with our specialized products.

As our CTO, you’ll lead our dedicated team of engineers who’re passionate about what they do and strive for development. The group dynamic is futuristic and proactive, working well across hardware, software, and firmware.

 

 

YOUR CENTRAL TASKS WILL BE

  • Leading the development of existing products in Eltorque
  • Leading the development of new products within markets, Eltorque represents
  • Be responsible for the department’s budget
  • Personnel responsibility
  • Represented in the management team
  • Responsibility for the organization’s framework and procedures within the development
  • Responsibility for the organization’s technology strategy
  • Applying for research funding

 

We seek someone with an education in relevant disciplines, preferably a master’s degree. You must understand programming and can speak and write fluent English. Norwegian language skills are preferred. You have excellent people skills and cooperate well with your colleagues. You are ambitious and comfortable with new and innovative solutions and can think academically and commercially.
